does anyone know anything about this boat?

This is the only info I could find on this boat - does anyone have any other info?

"...It was designed by prolific Bay Area yacht designer Jim Antrim from Ugo Conti's original concept; it's 100 feet long and 50 feet wide; it's powered by twin diesel engines; the inflatable hulls were built by Arcata's Wing Inflatable's; the craft was assembled in Anacortes, WA (where it was spotted several times during apparent sea trials); and it's capable of crossing oceans with "as much, if not more, stability than a normal catamaran," according to Jim Antrim"

Wasn't it hinged on the pontoons and other places so the hulls rode the waves and left the wheelhouse level.

Supposedly a wave piercing hull design. Rumors had it that it was moored in Emeryville (East SF Bay) for a while, but I caught that one late, and never got the chance to verify.

I seem to recall some stuff on it; I'll see if I can relocate it.

Does anyone know anything about this boat?

Yes.

I know that if you tied up at Town Quay it would really fox the harbourmaster!

Odd looking thing isn't it!

It's called Proteus. There was a short thread here about it a while ago, but haven't heard anything since.
