How long do the RNLI keep their RIBs in service? Wondering when the first Atlantic 85s will get sold off

Inshore boats on average up to about 15 years with the All weather lifeboats about 25 years ,

Having said that the new generation All weather boats such as the Tamar & Shannon class should have an hull operational lifespan of 55 years, though will get re engined about 3 times in that time .

...and they are already planning to extend the Severn class out to 50 years...
