Detailed map off the boat

I am looking for a detailed map of SW scotland over to Ireland to view on macbook. What would you recommend? thanks I have garmin home port but the detail is really poor.

Have you got the Garmin vision g2 loaded into Homeport or are you just using the background chart?

Using the background chart. Can I get the detailed g2 off the chartplotter and load it into homeport?

Yes if it's on a card. Put the card into your PC & point Homeport to it. The chart will load into Homeport & display as if it was on the plotter. You can create waypoints, routes etc & transfer them to your plotter, that's the whole point of Homeport 👍

Sorted...The map on the sd card works on the pc but not the mac.

Ahh! I don't do Mac, could never understand em or why anyone would want one, apart from they look nice🙄
