Deck

I have removed the carpet that was beautifully fitted on my deck. Under this is a 'sort-of' non-slip deck. Anyone got any bright ideas what to lay or shall I just leave it? I was thinking maybe of putting tek-dek down but it is awfully pricey.

How about a layer of velcro and a special set of deck shoes with the other half glued to them. This way the kids will not fall out !!!Alan P

Verrrry funny..... I might place teflon on deck layered with a mild concoction of fairy liquid and 3 in 1 oil so as to ensure they GO overboard

Watched a dive rib s l o w l y come into the harbour on monday. Wind NW 7/8, sea as you'd imagine. Turned out they'd just made it all shiney for the new year by siliconing and polishing the tubes. Soon as they planned and hit the first wave everyone sitting on the tubes (i.e. everyone bar the coxswain) neatly slid all over/off them.
OOPS.

Dont use Tek Dek, heard that they have had problems and arent living up to there warranty, also pretty hard on bare feet but the idea was good.

Decking

I bought a 20ft x 4ft roll of industrial quality 4mil. ribbed rubber matting for my deck. It gives good grip when wet and is very hard wearing. Easy to fit. 40 quid. Bargain!

I'dve thought a man of your means and calibre would've gone for the proper teak decking rather than fake Either that or you could try and find a water proof axminster..................

Hey Chuck, go for the flexi-teek, there is a 9 metre rib in Salterns fitted with it, and you wouldn't know that it wasn't real.

Well, I suppose it is real, just not made out of wood!
