I also like doing the look of hull hugr but they are small in width and damage I sustained in the past was from idiots at cowes using my boat as a drive in fender because it's a rib as one guy told me.

Another suggestion which I will try this season is conventional fenders with half the air taken out. So they squish around tubes and don't roll up.

If you already have the normal hard boat things taking some air out is free
