Cross Section of Avon 545 Seasport

Hi

Does anyone have a cross sectional drawing of an Avon 545 Seasport.
I was thinking of putting a removeable hatch in the deck just forward of the console so I can acess the bilge and increase my storage. I would like to know whats under the deck [stringers, reinforcement ect.] befor I cut into it.

Thanks, Mark

Hi

I was going to try the exact same thing as your suggesting but before cutting a hole through the deck i contacted Avon who advised me not to.
They say that the deck is lowered with raised sides, have a look at yours and your'll see what i mean, this means that in reality there's not that much space under the floor anyway, they also advised that the deck is an integral part of the boats structure and cutting through it may cause problems.

My intention was to hide the anchor gear under the floor well out of the way, instead i strapped a plastic box to the deck and hide it away in there.
