5Hp? Has that changed?

I thought most of Europe (apart from the UK) was 10HP without licence, which explained all the 9.9Hp engines that were on the market a while ago.....

In germany it is 5 HP since i can think, but it will be raised to 15 hp in the near future.

That means the 5HP motors will drop in price and my sister can finally get her inflatable running

I don't really care about the qualifications of the others, I have all licenses you can get, and done loads of courses on marine safety/rescue...

When meeting someone you don't know on the water, i always presume he has no skill whatsoever, and i've been proved correct lots of times(even people with huge boats and big HP numbers)

I was quite active in a thread a month ago, the topic being mandatory minimum qualifications before people take to the sea.......I'm not going to stir up the debate again but from where i sit it is definately needed.

I am being quiet for once..........

That seems to keep the idiots off the road...

Only been nearly taken off my bike by fools who have no clue about roundabouts and lane discipline twice this week, pretty good really

Yeah i know what your saying but is suppose i look at from the "imagine what the roads would really be like if there was NO mandatory licence" point of view.

The Mad Max films spring to mind......

Time to make a cup'o tea and pull up the comfy chair....this could go on a bit....
