Crazy 4m Searider

Today I striped the Atlantic 21 console off the craft and couldn't decide what to do with it. Then I remembered that my 4m searider relief lex steering system had packed up and seized solid.
With the console still rigged with hydrolic steering I thought I'd be crazy and swap the whole boat around.

The Atlantic without its trusty 35year old three man console

So I then ripped the other single standard 4m SR console out. I then cut a few hole and jogged the triple around a little and bolted it on to the 4m

I have allot of wiring to do now and things to fiddle with as this really wasn't on my list to do. But hey, why not give it a bash
Comments are much appreciated 👍
Hydrolic steering is a bit over kill but not half as much as having that big lump sat in her.
Oh the console is heavier at the front than it is at the rear so goin to rig fuel under the rear seat

I know of three in a yard near me with full RNLI spec still attached ...apparantly they have to be destroyed ( for some unknown reason).

Have been trying to get to the bottom of the chance of buying one/ all , but isn't getting anywhere fast ....I think one has been picked up and dropped a few times as a start of the disposal process....

Been trying, but the yard are under strict instruction to ensure they are destroyed....so a few pick up and drops from the grab and that's that.

I even spoke about taking some of the kit of...but got no where....

Just no sense to it. Sometimes the rnli are great, sometimes not in this case.

First outing today and the reports are great!!
It handled absolutely beautifully. It is down on speed a little 30.2knts. Not surprising it had my instructor sunny on it and has a fat console but every worry I had was unjustified.
The balance was perfect, hydrolic steering was a great addition.
3 seats an had three on it. So 4m sr owners find your self an Atlantic console or I have my old one for sale

Seems rather odd - the RNLI have always tried to sell them in the past.

Do they still have the numbers on the sponsons, and do you know what the numbers are?

Cheers

that with the atlantic21's being destroyed, sounds to me like a tax issue -vat maybe. ive heard of this happening with top of the range cars having to be destroyed because tax hadnt been paid and subsequent penalties and interest mount up that much that it is no longer viable to just pay the bill. could simply be a case of the paperwork gone missing and the taxman isnt happy.
