Cowes Powerboat Festival or Farce??

It is Cowes Powerboat Festival this Friday through Sunday.

I want to go and see what is going on. I understand there is the Cowes Torquay Cowes race and other classes racing of on other courses.

Can I find any info?? Can I buggery. All I can find is the start time of the C-T-C race, and no mention of where the sart is!

This is a complete shambles.

Why don't the organisers make he programme easily accessible, or is it just for competitors.

In 2007, there was full info on the web and we had a super weekend with loads of friends.

Am I missing something, or are the organisers not switched on!!!

Perhaps you should brush up on your googling skills instead of ranting!

Dirk,

I am fully aware of the powers of google.

I have 'googled' extensively.

And there is no need for rudeness on these fora.

All I want to have is a schedule of th various races and locations. Not too much to ask, is it.

So follow Dirk's link, which you said you already had: http://www.britishpowerboatracingclub.co.uk/ctc.htm

At the top of the page you will see a number of links. You will probably find the links "Cowes Torquay Cowes Course" and "Timetable" most informative. Not too much to ask - but perhaps its how you asked

So after all these goings on - anyone going to watch ?

I am ! - out of Christchurch at 9.15 ish - head to Hurst trying not to get in the way, into the solent - late breakfast / early lunch in Yarmouth then back out to see the C-T- C boats back in from maybe 12.30 ish ( as a guess at return time ? ) .

If anyonce can tell me the expected return time I'd be gratefull ! ( I missed them last year as I was in a queue for petrol in Yarmouth ! )

Just a question. What sort of route could we expect the boats to take when they negotiate tricky headlines. Portland bill springs to mind. Will they take an inland route or will go by way offshore?
