Contact numbers

I and a few friends from Nieuwport are planning a speed run to Ramsgate this
weekend. In view of the current security alerts , can anybody inform me of who in particular we should contact??. - Normally i would ring up the coast guard in Dover and inform them of the boats name, people on board ect.

Is there anybody else who needs to be contacted??-- It will also involve landing at Ramsgate.

thanks anybody who can advise?

I don't see any reason at all to change your plans.

What exactly do you see as a problem?

I would suggest thats its an ideal time to visit the UK, particularly the captial.

Nice sunny weather, lots of helpful policemen about, friendly locals, best sparkling wines in the world, menus of prime scottish beef and welsh lamb rather than little animals with shells on there back......

If on your travels you find any french Olympic flags and signs could you import them, we are going to need quite a few

One of the other boats is offshore French, and the captain's wife is on a
morrocian passport..... cant leave her behind as she is supplying food and drink!!!!!!!!!- should be Ok - but even me- a UK subject and bone fide in all respects -have had probs at Dover. For me it will be a good chance to bed down my new yams .
Will let you know how we get on.

Do you want the big one that was hanging near the Arch de Triomph with "Paris 2012 " written all over it??.

Absolutely, I am sure we could find a suitable use for it.

There is no reason not to come to the UK at all.

I shall be on my RIB with friends in Central London on Sunday as everyone without malicious intent is entitled to do. More than likely will be stopped by river police as often happens, but just for a friendly check.
