Considering an SR5.4

Afternoon folks,
I'm sure there's going to be a lot of opinions on this, but after looking for a RIB over the winter I've been offered a SR5.4 which I'm seriously considering. The boat is going to be used for probably diving and charging about round (and taking photos) around the west of Scotland, and would be my very first RIB It's a military spec one which has been refitted and comes with a Yamaha 90hp engine. Chances are it's going to be used for no more than 4 divers at a time, but I'd like to be able to eventually take it out to e.g. inner hebrides and the small isles for example for longer trips.

The boat in question is this one: http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/s...er-54-PAA21133

The boat itself looks really good, and I've had good comments back from a couple of people I've shown it to, but just wanted to get a few more opinions on its suitability for purpose from before I go ahead Cheers!

RIBase
For interest there are a few pictures of the original refurbishment of the boat here. I do not know whether it is "Narcosis" who is selling it now but you may wish to send him an email to check further information on the boat.

I have had a 4m, a 4.7m, a 5.m and an 8.4m searider over last 16 years.. so know they are good boats.
Almost bought this one myself.. only reason I didn't I got offered a rare 4.7m instead..

I'm so glad I resisted the temptation to take credit for the refurbishment of the RIB

Not for Sale

I sold this boat a year ago to Zan and I hope we are still both happy about that unfortunately it has just come up for sale in my name on a website called OODLE

I don't know how this has happened and I can't delete it but just to keep things straight it isn't for sale by me, I never put it on the website!.

Has this happened to anybody else!

It looks like they have loads of B&O ads on there; strange thought considering your ad is no longer on B&O, but lots of the others posted as searider 5.4 look like live B&O ads
