Cold day and high pressure - the best

Hi
Just got back after a days ribbing.

Slippy slidy on the way to get the boat -4 deg showing on the car gauge.
Marina pontoon covered in ice.
Forgeting my sunglasses was the biggest error - as we needed them all day.
Today was one of the very best days out, actually made special by the extreme cold and high pressure.
Persuaded 'her in doors' that today would be worth a punt, and sure enough she said better than 'those' trips during the summer storms.
Went from Soton to Langstone harbour and then called in for some navel observations in Portsmouth on the way back.
Extra points for identifying the boat in the attached images...and I dont mean the Arc Royal!

I see your cameraman has only a T-shirt on. Is this an indication of hardiness or a testament to Redbay having heaters on some of their ribs?

yeah that things bin there donkeys, Im sure theres a guy living on a houseboat a bit further up too, theres always smoke bellowing out of the top from some kind of fire! - hes got a wind turbine thing and all sorts, looks pretty self sufficient! surrounded by boat bits and trailers ect, bit like scrapheap challenge on a smaller scale!

Heating off by then

Hi
Siochair - yep heating was needed til lunchtime at which sun powrer had taken over. But it was usefull to 'legitametly' claim my 60% propulsion 40% ancillaries allowance!
Nasher - I certainly did'nt consider the 'craft' seaworthy just good entertainment!
