Hi Tsm
Just a quick observation from running alongside, Would you be happy with the hight of the seat within the boat. I thought that it appeared to slightly high and that you would feel that you would be sitting above the boat as opposed to in it? Another positive observation is that it appeared to work very well as you were in the mix at all times!

I would agree that you do sit high when on that seat. should be lowered by circa 60mm. This would bring you closer to sitting inside the boat rather than on it. However the 60mm grass matting worked so well on the deck I am going to keep it.

Coastal pro

I have now done 50 hrs with my new seats and am very happy with them. They do give your more confidence to drive the boat harder than you would without them and I quite like the higher ride height.

To begin with I thought they did look high but after a few uses they actually are just right, I am 5' 11 and I think for anyone under 5'9 they might cause an issue, but this could be resolved by floor matting.

My feedback is they are very good value for money, they are well made and they also look the part.

Two things that did get to me was th customer service from coastal pro and they fact that they came in part built for at, so there was some hours of fitting together before they went in the boat.

But all together very happy with them, a pic of the new boat.

To clarify My seat is 500mm above the deck the recommended ht is 440mm. I have circa 65mm of rubber grass matting on the deck to provide an effective ht of circa 435mm. I have to say I am very happy with the seat and hope to purchase a second when and if funds allow. They do allow you to drive harder than without the seat. I have to be careful if I have a second person on board as they do not have a suspension seat and I would be afraid that I would break their back.

Aside: Wilk believes that I break everything.

...and I've broken a few things myself, so I'm qualified to comment!

Contacting coastal pro

He can be very hard to get hold of, worth it in the end, but that's not a great business model.....

Keep trying as they are worth it, I think if they want to stay in business they need to appoint an actual dealer who is ready to sell.

If you do place an order I advise you get in writing a delivery date and get him to agree to delivery on that date with a signed agreement. If date not met delivery fee refunded etc etc.

Anymore info on them please feel free to pm me.

Good luck
