"Please be aware that there have been various incidents reported involving a 1970s-style "speedboat", perhaps 14-15 feet overall, going alongside moored boats in the Upper Firth and stealing property.
Strathclyde Police Marine Unit (tel 01475-492541) is aware of the problem and is keen to identify the miscreants. If you or any of your members observe anything suspicious, please contact SPMU and ask them to investigate."
