Cleaning question

Now Ive had my boat at home, Ive spent the day checking it all over.

What do you recommend to clean it with - soap and water, or some sort of cleaning product. Im sure there are loads out there, but wont plain old soap do the job, I dont want to waste money on marketing.

I notice some gunk / crap in the bottom of the bilge area. What can I use to clean this up with so it looks new again like the rest of the boat ? More soap and elbow grease ?

Fairy and hot water is fine for day to use. Rinse thoroughly as there is salt in it. Stubborn marks or scuffs on the tubes can be shifted with a worn pot scrubber using Fairy Power Spray or CIF (as mentioned by Kerny). Cracking looking boat by the way. Got a cover for winter?

CIF & Fairy Power Spray mixed together, good hard wearing green scouring pad, elbow grease, lots of tea to sort the tubes n hull, strong mix of fairy for the bilges don't forget to enjoy the rib though, it's needs to be on the water not getting washed in it !!

Cheers for the advice, you know what its like though with a new toy - while its not in the water all I can do is polish it

Im looking for a good cover maker and will get one as soon as I can.

Quayside & Leisure have been recommended on here before, I'm taking the SR4 there to get a full cover and seats sorted when it comes back from SIT getting new tubes
