Sorry for my hasty retreat tonight people, more little shits breaking into my store so had to dash. Nothing gone, my homemade alarm scared them off which was a shame really as there are some very nice booby traps awaiting people!

See you all on the 8th!

Great to meet up with a few new faces last night. If I don't recognise anyone in the future I apologise now as the memory's going rapidly (so Scurvey Crew keeps telling me )

Hope all the advice on Pompy harbour was useful. May see some of you there this Sat am. Blue lights have been polished and ready for action.

Hi everyone

Well, we had another good turn out last night with some new faces and some from further a-field.

We even had a birthday celebration, congratulations Sue, although I still can’t believe you were asked to make your own cake to bring along!

The evening was a great chance to chat to like-minded people and generally make some new mates, several cruises were arranged and the opportunity to get to know fellow ‘Ribbers’ before arranging to meet up on the water at a later date.

One interesting slant on the evening was the realisation of the meaning of various ‘handles’. Most walked in and said “That must be Hightower” and I’m sure Aging Youth and Ribald won’t mind me mentioning them!

One aspect most agreed we must sort out is taking turns to drive, I’m sure the Churchillian’s sales of Coke and Shandy went through the roof last night.

Anyway, suggest the next one is Monday the 9th August, same place, same time.
Perhaps during the summer less people will be available, but hopefully if we carry on, the winter will be the time when we all need a ‘RIB Fix’ in the comfort of a pub.

Thanks for your company everyone.

Nasher

No - but the rigid raider might have a chance - it's only got one blue light (with a bulb now ) so cuts down the wind resistance.

I was thinking of something around 4 1/2" dia, which is only just sub-sonic.
Could take us out without even starting the main engines.
