Yeh I seen that video, nice one. You commented saying WOT was around 35-36 knots?

Errrg I have been debating for months and months whether to sell mine I am pullin' me friggin' hair out

What shall I do? The practicallity with the SIB because I can fit 7 adults in or the speed, sea handling and comfort of the RIB. I am so scared to tell my parents I want to sell up....Again!

They can go faster but that would be with the current so in hindsight 35-36 knots land speed wouldn't be possible with a 40, a few of the guys have SR4's try Matt h or Chris Moody for more info as they love theirs

They are a really fun rib

This one

that's the one, was just watching it now. That must have been bloody freezing!

So realistically you are looking around the 32-33 knot mark? It will still feel a whole lot quicker than the 22-23 knots I get out of the SIB!

Sr4's are the best rib in there class, they are fast and fun and you can also go on cruises with the larger ribs (weather permitting). However they can be wet and wild too so have a go in one if you can, I'm sure you will love it

SR4's ride high due to their deep V hull and they tend to bounce from one tube to the other in the chop so I don't know if this is really classed a chine walking or not

If you were to get one with a yam 40hp I'm sure that you wouldn't want to go any faster

thanks for the advice. I have talked to so many people about it. The problem is you really have to just commit and sell. I keep seeing seariders I would love to own but because I haven't had the balls to sell up I haven't been able to purchase it.

How many people can you get a a searider comfortably? Would 4 people fit in for a short 10-15 minute journey?

RIBase
About 3000-3500 for a good one.

Mine had a Mariner 50 2 stroke on, I clocked it at 44mph with no tide run (gps didn't show kts) and was clocked at 39 knots as well on another occasion.

There's very little in the water at that speed
