cheap waterproof switches
I am looking for cheap waterproop swicthes 1, 2 or 3 switch units considered
Any help would be great

Ah now! Make your mind up, do you want cheap switches or waterproof switches? If you want cheap, ebay's full of 'em take your pick. Waterproof ones, go for Carling

You can just about get away with a splash cover and greasing the switch, but it'll eventually fail.

The simple toggle switches on the site above can be augmented by black water proofish covers that screw on.. I have used these on control panels years ago, they are ok.
Buy toggle switch covers online from RS Components

I have used them in the past. They will last for a year of so and then fall assuned. They are cheap however it is impossible to stop water penetration into the console with these switches. Thanks for the advice though

Mine lives in a garage, so probably sees a lot less "weather abuse" than some, but I reckoned use the maplin Toggle switches wioth rubber boot & added silicon.
So far I've had 5 years out the most used one and no failures. Even if it does pack up, I have a couple spare in the panel, theory being it;s a spade terminal swap to bypass the problem, and at £2 odd, I can live with the odd one packing up.

from what I can tell, if your switches are exposed to the elements all the time anything under £40.00 will last less than 2 years and I have tried them all.
