CG66 on-line

I just got off the 'phone to Dover coastguard because i wanted to tell them that grayswish has been sold.

I also mentioned that i'll be registering a CG66 for the new boat, and the guy said "do it on-line please, saves me typing all the info in". What a good idea, now there is no excuse for not registering with the scheme.

This is where you fill it in https://mcanet.mcga.gov.uk/public/cg66/login.asp

And this gives more info about the scheme for those who aern't aware of what it's all about

Nice one.

Totally new site for the MCA as well. Much easier to find your way around than the old one.

Poor Service

I know these boys have better things to think about, however, I've completed two of these forms in the past 18 months and have yet, as advised on the same, to receive their complimentary pack of useful safety tips and costal procedures. That said, when I had cause to speak with Holyhead Coast Guard a month or so back, they knew who I was

I wonder whether it'd be quicker for me to fill it in online, or walk 20metres from the front door of the offices at work to the front door of Milford coastguard station

Will give the online thingy a go tho, cos that saves on paper....
