Why not make refresh content 180 if the image is only changing on the server every 3 mins. I theory it could refresh 1 second after the page is opened and you'll be out of date for 179 seconds - but other than someone who can actually compare the two you'd never know... If you can compare try just looking out the window I find it usually gives me a good idea what's happening outside!!
