Caribe ub 12

Thinking of buying a caribe ub 12. Searching the web there is little information and no reviews. Can someone please tell me where they are manafactured . I assume they are top quality , but at 400 plus pounds it will it handle more like a traditional runabout ?
It is rated for 40 hp max so i assume an etec 30 hp would be right in it,s wheelhouse.

caribes are good quality boats as far as i have seen, they seem to have a nice sharp v hull. not sure about your model. Seem really built well and have some nice touches. but the only thing i caution is that even though they are hypalon ive seen a few where the outer layer of tube will bubble and seperate. havent seen it happen on any other brand but im not sure. thats the only help i can give u.

Caribe is a decent brand of boat. They have had their ups and downs with quality over the years. Factory support in the US was very poor for a long time but I believe that can be attributed to the distributor and not the factory. They were being made in Venezuela but I believe they are now built in Columbia.
I have a DL 15 that I am refurbishing and I will say the hull is very well built.

Ended up buying a used ab 10 ft al rib with 18 hp nissan, total weight 200 lbs.......three times less weight
