Arek,
I am sure I speak for many other people on this forum in expressing my interest. Please post what you can, when you can-especially progress.
What do you think your fuel consumption will be? What will your tank(s) hold? And therefore probable range?
Could you not call in to Ushuaia or Puerto Williams (about the half way mark), and collect more fuel?
I hear also the Chilean Navy runs regular patrols in the area. I am sure you will liase with them as well?
I dont know who your sposors are apart from maybe Parker ??

But hey, massive good wishes and best luck to you.

(And no, Keith, I don't think this is sibbing territory!!)

Just for the record Parker Ribs are not sponsoring this event . We are just the manufacturer of the selected rib for this adventure.
Perhaps there will be some Parker input but not sure of details as yet.
I am sure that Arek in his own time once everything has been put into motion will tell us more.

I'm back in net, so I can reply for all posts

To Keith Hart - I still counting on You, as on others on that forum! If You can't go for any reason (lack of time; wife etc ) I still counting on Your advice!

Brian - fuel consumption - I prognose, that fuel consumption will be from 1,2-1,5 ltr/Nm on the beginning to 0,5 ltr/Nm at the end. The difference is becouse of weight of the rib on the beginnig and at the end. Exact range is difficult to say before sea trials, but I think It will be 1200 Nm - 1400 Nm.
I'm taking 1 ton of fuel (which is approx 1100 ltr) in 2 tanks under deck and the rest on deck, lasched with ropes.
I'll have to enter to Port Williams to get permission to go through Chilean Channels, which is in fact obligatory (as I'm informed). On that ocassion I'll refuel.
As for sponsors - I'll let know later, after puting a boat to the water

Parker helped me a lot (thanks for Andre and His brother Philip!), and becouse of that I'd been able to put my order now. Andre may not call it as sponsorship, but I feel that without His help all things can't get rolling

Aging Youth, and all others - THANK YOU for Your support

OK Guys! Time for some news!

I think, that some of You have seen the model of the boat, what I choose for rounding Cape Horn. There is a few pictures, taken by Andre. My intentions was to take a few pictures in this weekend, but unfortunately, the manufacturers boat is not back yet (rented by antiterrosts squad. Pssst! Dont tell to anybody!) so I'll have to delay my "training" with co-pilot, Michal.

One more! You can see Andre airborne on his Parker 630. What is really imressed, is the balance of the RIB, when flying
