Err Mr J Bond or JF

Its a Speed machine and I like the drive.

Its all right for sun/climate who like speed and the sun, and the women and the barbecues, and the fishing and the life and the whether and the beaches, and the water and the low property prices and all that stuff.

We might be neighbours one day.

Crazyhorse

Sorry to trouble you, but i thought you might be intersted in this little beauty that I saw at the Miam Show. Not because it's a Buzzi cabin rib, (probably the best buider of ribs in europe) but because it has a pair of Yanmars on RING drives!

Looks a bit ugly to me Dirk,What ya mean ring drives?I suppose it has to have something going for it? Doesnt look like much room left in the boat after them diesels are installed?

Ring Drive

Just nicked this off a web site 4 u:

ZF Trimax from Italy showed their “Ring Drive” with a carved wooden engine simulating the real thing.

This innovation, by FB design in conjunction with ZF, “traps” all the engine’s torque effect within a circle and guarantees perfect engine alignment. This unit has already been adapted to Yanmar engines from 238 to 420 hp.

Having been on a test drive in an RIB33, driven by multiple world champion Fabio Buzzi, I can certainly say that the drive is both effective and smooth.

It looks a bit tight in there for recreational use. Don't you think??Not that much space for sunbathing or doing anything much on the deck (excluding the cabin LOLOLD) ).
But it looks mighty fast.

The rib pictured is one of a pair used as tenders to a superyatch, they have large jet drive units. They're currently being re-furb'd by Doller offshore in Ft Lauderdale,
apparently Doller have a contract with some superyatch shipyard localy, and do a lot of this kind of thing!
