Crazyhorse,
with respect to my knowledge of ally I used to look after a 52' don shead design class 1/endurance boat (debenhams/shockwave) and did loads of mods and repairs along the way, that was built in N8, welded running surface and structures with rivited topsides and deck (as most of the race boats were at the time) circa 91/92, of course it's all changed now, everythings fancy composite now.
It was origonally built by comer marine but they went pop (quite rightly to, it was the crapyist workmanship i've ever seen

Yep your right it is a specialist field ali.

Thats why I went abroad as I couldnt find a producer of cabin ribs that hit my criteria in ali.

So I went to the country that produces more ali work boats than any other and found myself a specialist company who built ali ribs.

As far as displacement goes,it rely does take to long,its great having the room.

are the canadians the leaders in ali then?, I thought NZ were pretty keen on the stuff, they like it for all thier jet boats and things

Year, it would account for the fear of speed on one side and the avaisiveness on the other
