BWM Deep Sea 16

Need some information on the BWM Deep Sea 16. Does anybody know or have the spec for this boat. I need to know the maximum HP of a the boat with a single engine.

Hi Aquatec, don't know about the 16, but here's some info on the 18, I suppose you can just make some adjustments for your's.

I had a 17. Originally it had an 80hp 2stroke yam and I swapped it out for a Mercury 90 4stroke (200kg). Most people thought before I fitted it that the Merc was going to be too heavy. But I had no problems with the installation and thought it actually improved it's following seas handling by enabling me to adopt a better bows up trim. There was one with a 130 yam on the back, but 90 was enough for me.

I had a 130 yam on a DS18; it was awesome.

I wasn't aware there was any other models that the 18 and 21.

It's nice to see from the other thread that these boats are still being made as they did seam good sea boats for their size.
