Buying an old 23' 7.0m humber rib? Am I gettingin over my head?

I've always wanted a small rib for Gulf Coast shark and drum fishing. Well I went and looked at an 11' AB inflatables A11 with a small 25hp mercury to boat shark lines out and fish within a mile or two of the surf. Well I get to talking with the guy and I find out he also has a 23' humber Rib for sale with dual mercury 55hp motors. ITs orange in color and I think it is a 1998 model. It looks like a big coast Guard boat. Both motors started right up and idled smoothly. It appears to be in decent conditionmaybe a bit of sun fading. I offered him 3200 bucks and he accepted. Is thisthing going to be an unreliable money pit? II'venever owned a boat so this will be nmy first.

Can anyone help me find out what model this might be? I dont have any pics. the hull is an orange color and 7.0 meters long and a 1997, the motors are 1998 55hp mercury's

How many orange 7.0m model lines did Humber produce in 1997? Ive only seen their Destroyer 7.0 meter in orange color online but I dont know if they made this model in 1997.

haha he has the title for it and everything so maybe it was a crooked mafia deal... Im usually extremely hesitant about "too good to be true" deals so I imagine this thing must have some underlying issues...

I suspect that you will get nothing from this side of the pond without photos.
It is a bargain price, but it is not going to set your hair on fire. My old diving clubs Humber RH600 (6m = 19ft 8 inches ) had twin 60 Yamahas on the stern and would top out at about 34 knots. With the extra hull in the water the performance will be less than sporty. Don't mean to rain on your parade, hope it fits your expectations

I love inflatable boats and bought 3 of them an 11', 15' and the 23'. I only use the 15' RIB in almost 2 yrs.
The 11' RIB you inquired about is in the best condition and the sticker is good until 7/14. I got it registered and never put it on the boat since i didnt take it out. The 11' boat has the hull title, motor title, but no trailer title. It Holds air good, the hull is perfect and the engine is perfect
The Humber 23' had no air in 1 of the chambers when i bought it because the valve was broken. Honestly i bought it as a project and did not even test the motors since i liked the boat and never minded if the motor worked or not. I did install the brand new valve, patched some leaking holes with hypalon, and tested both motors. 1 is running and 1 runs only when the choke is pulled out. I think the carb needs to be cleaned.
So on the Humber 23' the condition is not perfect. You still need to work on the motor, buy a new sticker and do some cosmetic work. I didnt put it on sale yet on craiglist. I would not expect much for an inflatable with almost 17 yrs on it.
Im selling them because my brother has a company and i work for him. He allowed me to keep my boats there but not any more. That sucks a bit and is forcing me to get rid of these. I would keep them all if I my own land.
I dont mind at all going over the details with you on all the boats. When you come look at them, we can go over everything ( I do still have some more inflatables I may be selling haha... seems like crazy...)
