Buyers guides - are there any reliable ones?

I'm looking for a 2nd had rib that's around the 5m mark but looking on boatsandoutboards, ebay etc. there are loads of makes & as I'm starting out with pretty much zero knowledge, it would be great to find either reviews or pro/con lists without searching google or this site.

Not trying to be lazy but it's a steep learning curve at the moment!

Wellcome to the Forum ,i suspect you have just stumbled across the closest thing you are going to get to a buyers guide .
Best i reckon you list a few of your priority ambitions ,crew size and expedition ideas and i reckon theres a good bunch of people will try and give you some pointers.
