Build thread of the Parker 800 Baltic UK demo rib.

In response to a few requests this is the start of the build thread for my next UK demo rib.
The rib which I ordered is a Parker 800 Baltic and will be fitted with twin Mercury Diesel QSD 2.0 (170 HP) and Bravo 1 drive. DTS throttle & shift levers and Vessel viewer 7. I had first decided on a single engine this being the Mercury Diesel TDI 4.2 370HP & Bravo 3 drive but having thought of it over a weekend decided to go twin. 2 x 220 ltrs stainless steel fuel tanks. Nearly double to what I had in the last demo rib.
The deck equipment as follows
• Heavy duty military style Samson post on the bow (I had the same on my last 750 Baltic)
• Neptune console with front incorporated bench seat. I like this console as it gives the crew good protection , storage space in the seat and a good seat as well even at 30knots on a calm sea you are pushed well into the seat without any danger of being thrown overboard
• 2 x 2 man Parker jockey seats
• 3 man bench seat on the engine box
• A frame double stainless steel
• Diving platform
• Deck lights 4 per side
The rib will be all Military Grey
Radio & Navigation equipment:
 Simrad RS35 VHF/AIS DSC
 Simrad NSS9 evo 2 touch screen
 G4 radar
 StructureScan
 Sounder module
 P79 – in hull transducer
 GS15 antena
 NAIS400 AIS Transponder
 NSPL400 antenna splitter dla AIS
 3dB 1.5 mtr antenna VHF

The engines are a bit late and will be delivered next week but the tube which is made in house is just about finished

Just a thought how many of you see what is under the deck of the rib you have just bought.
Every Friday I get photos from all the ribs I have on order so the Buyer can see first hand how the work is progressing. The CCTV shots are a great help as well as you get the date and the time

Id love to be able to spec and watch a boat build from the keel up that was mine, the best I can do is watch everyone's on here and just imagine the excitement.

Nice. Under deck, are there limber holes between compartments, foam, etc.? Or, is each compartment just sealed up when the deck goes down?

there is no foam. Holes yes should for any reason water gets there it can be drained down to the bilge. The compartments are sealed when the deck goes on. The deck is moulded. on the photo on post 2 you can see a protective cover on the deck.

Yep...looks good.

Me too...swing your Boat built is both interesting and most informative
In fact I'd say it was good practise for any reputable RIB manufacturer,in fact I'd discount any maker that flatly refused the option.

Yes I know but Friday the working day is not over yet

sadly the engines will only arrive to the factory till after 28th February. This will no doubt hold up the work progress

This is a photo from the CCTV taken at 12:44 UK time. Looks like the fuel pipes have been connected and the deck panels are down. the anchor locker is on and in the distance the console is being worked on. The windscreen has been put on and I understand that most of the instruments have been fitted. The tube which is ready will be put on after the installation of the engines which as I said earlier are late.

Is this a new model? I thought the Parker only came in 900 and 1000?

Let me know when you want to build a Parker 1200 Baltic...I'll be the launch customer!

I did not want a 900 and had a 750 before and the 800 comes from the same mould so no big deal. the design of the 1200 has been finished just waiting for Plant no 2 to be completed cos at the moment problem with space even for the tooling which is made in-house.

OK so it is Friday today and here are a few shots taken just before the end of the factory's working day. There is a further delay on the engines so it looks as if the tube will go on first and then the engines will be installed. I understand the engines will be at the factory by 7th March

The console and seats have been installed and the Samson post has been fitted. It looks huge but once the tube has been fitted it will look totally different. This is the same type as I had on Never Enough my last demo rib.

I know it is Monday but since I was sent a photo I thought of sharing it. The tubes are being fitted and by Friday I think they will have the rubbing strake, lifelines and the non-slip patches put on. The engines should be collected from Brunswick this Friday.
