Cant remember the exact distance from Southampton to the piers, but I dont think it would be too far out if I said about 22 miles +/-. Therefore around about an hour should do you at that speed, but with the forcast light winds and good(?) weather, you will be tempted to use the WOT at times .....

So who will be out on the water?

I will be out from 11-00 until about 2-00 from the Wick Road Slip next to Ashby Powerboat school.

I noticed from the website that there are going to be demos at sea, is there going to be a cordoned off area?

Chris

I'll be out from Xchurch Quay at about 1100ish.
From the PM's I have had, I would think at least 6-10 Ribs from here out over the weekend.
Yes there is a restricted area, well patrolled and the reports I have had back form those I know, say its a cracking show, both in the air and on the water. The large RM support vessel is also open to the public, but only via their own boats from the beach.
The girls love all the men in uniforms showing them round .....

We were on the beach today - but on the water tomoz - took loads of fots today but the Falcon on short finals to the Sigma yacht was quite good and my little Suzy waving to the Lancaster was quite simple yet emotional in a funny kind of way - she never waves to Cessnas and always covers her ears if any jet other than the Reds comes anywhere near us....

Went down to Bournemouth Pier on Friday just as the Red Arrows were doing their thing, which having seen it a million times and find boring, but was blown away by the Euro Fighter, man that is one impressive plane.

Loads of things to do down on the beach. Well done to the organisers for putting on a great show.

Anyone going from Southampton on Sunday?

Is anyone thinking of going to Bournmouth from Southampton area on Sunday?
I'm intending to launch at either the Swanwick or Crosshard slips mid morning (about 10.30 - 11.00) and going across to Bournmouth and would be glad of Rib company.
