Terrible news. We watched the display from the Rib out on the water, and it was as brilliant as ever with no signs that anything was amiss.

They even brought the sun with them after the heavy clouds and rain in the morning.

Quote from Bournemouth Council and Air Show as follows

Mark Smith, Head of Bournemouth Tourism, said, I want to say what a tragic event this is, and our thoughts go to his family at this awful time. The Red Arrows had performed at the Bournemouth Air Festival earlier in the day and had entertained the crowds with a truly magnificent and magical display. It is the wishes of the RAF to continue with their other flying displays at the Air Festival tomorrow, and the pilots have expressed their wishes to continue. The Red Arrows will not be performing.

Looks like the show will continue but without the Reds
A truly sad day.
