Boat show help!

Due to the races been cancelled at the Southampton boatshow, I thought it would be a good idea to see if we could do the same as Ribex and have a sort of race boat experience thing going on .......... then I discovered that Honda had it covered so I had to think of a plan "C".

Well the nice people at Barrus are hosting the race boat and the leisure boat under thier "Try a Boat" scheme, so we'll be at the show for the whole 10 days!

Thats the good news!

Unfortunately because there isn't long to go, the accomodation is a bit sparse to say the least, so I need help in finding somewhere to stay, so if your local pub has accomodation or somewhere for Kevin and James our new apprentice to pitch thier tents (they're serious!), then please get in touch pronto!

07836 268747
or pm/email

Thank you!

Do you need to be in the middle of southampton ?

The camp sites in the new forest are a bit quieter now the kids have gone back to school.

Ashurst is only five miles from the centre and right next to a train station.

Cheers

They may let you camp at netley sailing club, I know they have a camping field.

I'm working the whole ten days at the boat show helping out on the try and boat bit, booking people in and getting them ready to go out. Fortunately my very kind boss has sorted me out with a bed in a hotel room.

Working for Dave Robson of Aquapower. He's running the try a boat and I think he is managing the marina but don't quote me on that.

Thanks for your help everyone - found a pub in Burseldon - The Crows Nest - which will do nicely - The power of Ribnet!
