I have fitted mine as shown below, cost £22 from Chris Hornsey Chandlery, made by Plastimo. I am still experimenting in best way to store it perhaps with a pull cord dangling over, only had the boat a week but that was one of the first things I bought, safety is top of my list

The used Tornado rib I recently bought has a stainless ladder which is cantilevered from the A frame. It rotates about 180 deegrees so conveniently clips against the A frame, then can be unclipped and lowered into the water (swivels over the tube) when required. As its stainless it sinks vertically and tends to not float, hence no extra weight needed. You can climb the ladder and pull against the A frame. I only used it once, tend to pull myself over the tubes pulling on the bottle rack, but it seems to work fine. Wouldn't test it with all my scuba kit on though!

as long as you don't snap the anti-ventilation plate; it's pretty thin cast aluminum.

XS make a couple of great, strong stainless folding ladders that bolt to the A frame. I`ve tried rope typle ones and find they just dissapear under the boat when trying to climb up. sorry not great pics, phone camera but zoom in and you`ll get the idea.

Ive owned Marshan boats in the past and they used to have a plastic step mounted on the transom that worked well so no storage problems or stainless ladder hanging of the back .

I have just made a strap type boarding ladder.
I used a heavy duty storm strap from my caravan awning and 2 x pieces of 1.5" abs pipe.
It adjustable and threads through the handle on the tube to keep it in place and secures to the eye for towing the ringo.
It does take a bit of practice to use but works well and was cheap.
The other idea I was going to look at was a ally ladder that is used to get in the kids bunk beds in the caravan.
Very light weight and strong,Spot on the correct length,But ideally would need a curve putting into it so it fits round the tube snug.
