Boarding Ladder

I have seen on here somewhere but cannot seem to find it, where someone posted a picture of a boarding ladder that is attached to the A-Frame. If anyone can remember where it was I would appreciate if you could point me in the direction of the thread. Thank you

I have seen the ones that are screwed to the transom and flip up when not in use.

Thank you but won't have enough room on the transom, the one I have seen on here attaches to the side of the A-Frame, has a central poll and steps either side all in stainless, when it drops down it sits over the side of the tube.

Hi.

I managed to narrow one of the Stainless Transom Mounted ones significantly.

Its still wide enough to get a boot on, but takes up little space on the Transom.

1/2 hour with the hacksaw and Mig welder sorted it after sourcing the ladder of ebay for @£25.

I know exactly what you mean, had one fitted to the 8.5 Tornado, Barnet Marine do them with their XS RIB range. Goes over the side of the tube yes? Give us a call when your free, could point you in the direction of the seller....

The ladder you want is the one that was fitted to the Dark blue RIB Int 8.5 Tornado with a 275 Merc, they will know the boat and get you sorted.

No it was a different one, Dads boat had a smaller ladder, less combersome, Im having the RIB International office send me some pictures of the craft, will post them tomorrow for you, the rest of the that RIBs layout is the same, although Dad had dark blue, grey and off-white.

I walk up that ladder with 2x12l steel tanks on my back when diving + plus weightbelt and deko tank, total weight around 130-140 kg! No problem for the ladder, been used more than 1000 times now and no sign of wear on those bolts or on other part for that matter. More a problem for me!!

Its not perfect for divers though, but for swimmers and other watersports its really easy to enter the boat.

I will have it made 1 step longer and som sort of horizontal grip instead of the standard one.
