was going to say hopefully its broke free from its moorings, but all in all sounds serious.

"Solent Coastguard watch manager told BBC News: "All indications were that there had been someone in the boat. This is very, very urgent."

He said a helicopter could not be sent to search until it was certain someone had gone missing. "

If they believe someone was aboard then why aint the chopper scrambled at the earliest opportunity after tht was established, I know the cost involved but you would think they would at least have a quick scan in a certain perimeter

I was worried it might be Howard (Zippy) but phoned the Coast Guard that told me it is totally Orange in colour (Hull and Tubes). They still have no information about it.

BMW sub -aqua? Do you think its more likly to be BWM sub aqua?

I hope they find its owners, and I hope it has broken off its moorings.

Surely the coast guard would know if there was someone on board or not. The key would still be in the ingition. I automaticly put the key in as soon as I get aboard (for safe keeping).

It was a BWM as it has just turned up in our business park on the back of a recovery truck. Looks like the owner was with them and it was with Viking. Cowling was off the engine. I assume that everyone is ok if they are driving it around?
