Hi Nos4r2,

I'm a sailing person, but I look at these forums now and again because I drive a RIB occasionally on rescue boat duties.

I just wanted to let you know that your comments about avoiding wash and trying to keep clear are appreciated. Its a shame that you got pissed off by inconsiderate sailors, I guess there are some idiots in every area of activity but I hope you don't think all sailors are as bad.

Tony S

Fair comment and you're sadly too right about the idiots

I've been a sailor for years too- I know we aren't all that bad

We were on the visitors pontoon in Fowey a couple of weeks ago when i was helping some yachties rafted out 3 deep.
The inside boat on the pontoon decided he was leaving and i was helping him untie.
He sliped out and the yachtie on the 2nd rafted boat threw me his rope, which i caught.
However the stoopid yachtie forgot to tie the other end to his boat and went drifting down river with the tide while we all fell about laughing!
