Bilge Pump Extension?

All

Currently I run an on demand bilge pump at the back of the rib, half way down the drain hole. Due to space I can't lower this and would really like to move it out of the way totally.

Is there such a thing as a bilge pump that sucks up via a hose ( a bit like a hand pump version) that I can mount on the transom and pump into the well?

Ta muchly

You need a vane pump, a dry running impeller pump, or a peristaltic pump. Any of these may be able to run dry and draw water up to them. BUT I don't know of any of these pump types built as waterproof bilge pumps like the Rule etc centrifugal types.

there are some low profile bilge pumps available that might fit better? but these are typical "submersible" types which pickup from base of pump rather than from a tube.

A shower drain pump will do this - and doesn't mine running dry for a short while.

Don't think they're too splashproof though.

I had mine mounted in a seat pod.
