Ah yes .. we had one of them which I discovered as a teenager  ... round pin 15amp it was ...kept us going during the miners strikes with a genny .. but no one thought to isolate it when 't power came back on  ..

This is doing the rounds today on social media networks, shows a family at Mullion Cove Cornwall (Lizard Peninsular) behind the sea wall, also shows them getting soaked but luckily not being swept down beneath the railings or between the gaps in railings.
I know this area very well and they would be lucky to survive had the worst occured
The second one is the sea state at Porthleven between Penzance and The Lizard. This is where a man lost his life New Years eve paddling!
I am sure as the next few days progress we will all see similar stupidity

I have been to Mullion harbour many times and know that a few people have lost their lives over the years for being foolish enough to walk along the harbour wall during storms.

These are from this morning at branksome car park. The sea had raised the beach level at least 2meters! And pushed sand back another 30ish covering the whole car park! Look out for the buried dustbins in the drifts!
The waves were at baiter park where it was massively windy!!

This weather really seems it is not going to give up. Having seen the latest forecast / predictions for next week the respite promised earlier looks now to be only a blip. On the ECMWF predictions there maybe some let up on Saturday but it all comes back again on Sunday!
