Best way to reinforce top of whole tube???

Tubes are getting tired and prone to punctures on upper areas...Some patches present already which make them look scruffy too...

Thinking about putting a full strip of something (none slip patches or similar?) along the top of both tubes to repair/reinforce and make them look smarter.

Anyone had experience with similar repair or got other tips (apart from tube replacement - too expensive )

Thanks!

Patches seem like a good idea. Keep me posted.

if you are only going to patch or even run a strip- ensure that it looks pro. You can easily do this by not having " square patches"- i,e cut the ends as semie- moons or round them off. Square or complete rectangular patches look terrible. Its surprising how this makes it look good. Be sure to use the
SAME material and two coats of glue before sticking
