Beaulieu Boat Jumble

Anyone going to Beaulieu Boat Jumble next Sunday the 29th?

I've a few bits and pieces I'm looking for, but its not such a bad day out anyway, what with the included admission to the motor museam etc.

I see from the website there is a free bus from Bucklers Hard. I am not that familiar with Bucklers Hard, does that mean one could take the rib as far as the marina there and get the bus. I guess I am asking does anyone know if the bus goes from within walking distance of where you would leave the boat?

Anyone know what time the boat jumble finishes at ?

I'm thinking of going down at lunch time to miss the in initial rush but still want to get some decent browsing time in.

Just got back, lovely weather! Not sure that I would go again though. It was OK, but only OK IMHO. A lot of the stuff on offer I have seen as cheap if not cheaper on the internet. Good to look at boats and boaty things
Didn't see any RIBnet T-shirts

Andy,
Surprised your ears were not burning, you were being talked about today!
The guy from J Craft was saying how you had been for a spin, and how he regrets not letting you loose at the controls

Jamie's a nice guy, I liked talking to him. Yes he should have let me loose as I thought I had hinted enough . However I was in the market for a 6/6.2m and I dought that I'd been able to take away too much info from a spin. That said though, there have been several people that know I sea trialed the J Craft and had I been let loose I'd have been able to more accuratly described it's feel/handling.

My main concern was the fact that the only J Craft built was the one I demo'd. A 6.2/6m had I ordered one would be untested and at the price it was offered at I couldn't justify the risk.

That said, I wish him every success in his venture.

Was he marketing his RIB at the jumble?

Andy,
Yes, his rib was very prominently displayed at the entrance to the jumble. As you say, a nice guy, with a good looking fit-out to his boat. He certainly wanted to talk to me anyway, and it was he that asked if I was on RIBnet

Hi all

We picked up some bargains from Beaulieu yesterday, but nothing exciting.
A new pair of wet suit boots for Mrs Nasher, and a shore power connection lead and distribution panel complete with circuit breakers. This is for our annual camping trip to Dartmouth so we can plug into the caravan power supply to run a decent fridge and lights.

The Jcraft was certainly in a prominent position. I believe he’s based just around the corner from work, so will have to go and say hello and a better look.

Nasher.

I did make an effort to spread the word there in my old RIBnet polo shirt but my back pack hid most of it.
