Hi Paul. Ok fair point....but I am sure you know that this behaviour is not limited to the continent. Don't ask me to name them though. Anyway nice to make your acquaintance, I know you are well respected in the industry. Cheers Will

I don't know if they were successful, but Madera were trying to buy the Crompton moulds when Crompton were sold off by Customs and Excise.

If that's after they talked to Paul, they may be using the Crompton moulds rather than a splash.

Unless I am wrong the RN made him an honorary Lt Cdr so they must thing he's a good chap too?

What is there to hate I ask myself?

Don't see how this is pathetic and ill thought out: up until his death it was an oft heard refrain, "say what you like about Jimmy Saville, but he's done a lot for charity". Which seems to be pretty much the default Bear defense (tho no one's suggesting that he's a paedo obvs).

he does dangerous things which are totally unnecessary, jumping down waterfalls - you cant get trapped at the base of them. jumping into water at all - you dont know what is below the surface. my biggest problem i think is how much he likes to get wet, when ive always been told that the key to survival is to stay dry at all costs. its all for bravado and of course to make entertaining tv, but how many morons watch it and get stupid ideas about copying what he does?

My wife and I had dinner years ago with Bear and his wife Shara (she is great mates with one of our best mates). Bear was charming, had a few interesting points, like the jeans he was wearing that he had embroidered himself ! He was more interested in other people rather than in himself - which is a good quality I think.

Very likeable chap, but I agree would have been better if somehow he could have hooked up with a British manufacturer

Have you or anyone else seen this on a triple engined boat? All I can think is it would put a strain on the centre engine? It is common for the outer engines to have shorter legs but that's for good reason!
