Bat Rib

Well here she is at last! She is a "Bat Griffo" 4.62 metre circa 1994 powered by a 1999 Mercury elpto 60hp Outboard. I dont know much of her history but it seems she was made in Italy, fitted out in Holland and has been fairly local to the Solent as there are Chichester Harbour Stickers for 2002 and 2003.
She has a deep V Hull so hopefully will be able to cope with fairly rough conditions although most of the weight seems to be at the back, she can carry 8 passengers?
Does anyone know anything about Bat Ribs apart from the fact that they are Italian better still does anyone know what the strange wheel mechanism on the starboard side of the steering column does(Pic attached)?
If you are Chichester Based maybe you have seen her about?

How many batteries do you have on board? The switch is designed to enable you to run 2 batteries. The options will be to run Battery 1 OR Battery 2 OR both batteries. A good idea if you have an auto bilge pump, no cover and a lot of rain! That way, if one battery is drained by the pump you will still be able to start the engine!

Agreed does look a bit over the top for a 5m rib, is it water proof? looks a little exposed on the side of the console with all the spray that ribs create. Certainly worth replacing the non stainless bolts holding it on and giving the terminals a good coat of grease for the winter.

There are plenty of paddles strapped on that tube, suppose those Italian boys must do a lot of paddling, would think that the isolator switch was waterproof being mounted where it is, though you never can tell can you
