The Yamahariner 55 is a tidy motor - reliable and loads of spares around, should you need them.

Your hull is not 'based on' an Avon though - it's a very different design to a 4m Searider.

i know i thought a avon but i had a flatcraft and its a extended version of that.got a bit confused?lol

Fair play, that should fairly motor along in calm conditions. Should actually be faster than 38 knots if it's propped correctly. My sr4 with a 50 was quicker than that and I'm a fat git and the sr4 has a lot deeper V hull.
i wasnt to sure how fast it should go it was quite a rough day when i took it out plus i had a air leak on the fuel line . fixed it now so i will have to see when i go out monday if its any quicker. i will take a few pictures of the hull so you can all have a look to work out what it is but it is very similar to my old flatcraft 4 but with a rear flood deck and extended nose tubes. tell me i have set of dolphins for the outboard do these make much difference i have never had any before so if someone could let me know if any benefits of them.

my force 4 gt

I have taken a few more pics of my boat now. and thanks to nasher he has told me its a force 4 gt . i took it out today medium rough seas pushed about 37 knots then backed off as getting a little to rough at that speed. it however does handle very well i know it not a sr4 but i honestly think on a not to bad a day it will perform as good as a sr4.
i have seen a few sr4 on ebay they look ok my brother is looking at buying one of them which has got the smae engine on as mine so we will find out soon how much better the sr4 is. anyways heres a few pics of mine. please be kind guys its nice boat really.lol

Glad you enjoyed it, it should be a lot of fun.

Remember to try and post some pics of it on the water.
