Barnett Marine

Enquired to Barnett Marine by email at 1615 on Sunday afternoon about price on a new RIB. First reply was back in about 10 minutes

3 emails and 2 phone calls later the spec was agreed and the deal was done (less than 24 hrs later). Delivery time of 1.5 months on a new build.

In my experience some of the other big RIB and engine suppliers in the UK will still be promising you a quote in 1.5 months time. I am very happy to have pledged my money to a company who have once again done a no nonsense deal at a fair price.

Very frustrating that the others take so long but very refreshing that Barnett Marine are once again so efficient.

Good news.
Let's hope that in 6 weeks time, you'll be showing us pics of the new RIB.

I sent them an email on a Saturday a few weeks back asking about an aux motor. Reply also back in about 10 min - on a Saturday. Haven't ordered it yet but will be very shortly - I was expecting to take a week or two to get a response from anybody but was very pleased with the service and will be using them again

My RIB is taking a little longer but worth the wait

Im not going to slag of the others by name as every small business can have a bad month (that said I am not overly impressed with three companies in particular). I am however happy to big up Barnett for the process so far.

To avoid any confusion Andre was not an asked, While I respect his brand and would gladly own one it was not right for this particular job, so I did not ask for a quote. There were of course several other good brands that I did not approach because they were not right for this particular boat.

Excuse my ignorance but I am not sure which brand you build/sell.

Anyway point was how impressed I was with getting an answer on a Sunday afternoon and closing the following day. I know some people like to spend months planning their boat but I have had a whole burning in my pocket for some time, I knew what I wanted all along (layout, size, seats etc). I just struggled to find a RIB builder/dealer to take my cash. In fact I struggled to find one who returned my calls.

i made an enquiry to several dealers about an engine repair ...... similarly Barnet Marine responded within minutes of my sending an email but all the others took between 1 day and 1 week to respond .....guess who's gonna win that job ?

Erm, the company that has bugger all else to do but reply to e mails, but is not necessarily noted for it's engineering abilities.
