I'm going to guess that it's the left-hand of a pair of counter-rotating engines.

So a left handed outboard can only be used in conjunction with a right handed one?
I am assuming all single engined boats have right handed ones?
Explains why its cheap I guess!

Regards

No - I don't believe so. I would think that the only problem might be that you would always have to use left-handed props, and long term supply of some gearbox parts may be a minor issue.

Another consideration could be rigging and performance - it may be necessary to offset the engine to the left instead of the right, and the prop torque may not occur in the manner expected!

Being a left hander is no problem at all - jus may be a bit more prone to dyslexia ko???

That's strange.
I have just bought one exactly the same only rightturn 2003 model for a very good price.
New machine with 6 hours on it.
Bit less money though

Would look very nice on the black Osprey.

Dan.

Surly the only implications are going to be spares....

Edit: How much is a new lower leg for one of these?
