Well, after a bit of phone help from Pete7 (thanks Pete!) the steering is on and finally bled properly.

It's a heathen job...

What was really cool earlier was putting the key in the ignition (not finished fitting it all yet)-controls aren't on, nor is killswitch) and turning it on, watching the gauges come to life and everything working.

That felt REALLY good.
