Flooding

I drove past the River Soar in Leicester on Thursday, which is in flood. Some nice cruisers were tide nice and secure to the bank when the owner last left them. Only problem is, the water as risen about 6ft so you can just see the top of the cabin now - DOH!!!

Can you imagin the faces when they return -

MY mate had a simlar situation at Alderney he tide up in the harbour and rowed in to the quay side. Tide the tender (AVON) up while we went for a beer or 5. When he came back the Avon was well under - the tide had risen - DOH

Cheers and good luck to every body with the floods and storms.

Jono

I suppose that I have to aggree that it is a "bit windy" and I can understand why most of you do want to go to sea. The Spirit of Cardiff has been built for these sort of conditions and although I hope that we never have to deploy all the safety gear at once, she is capable of surviving them. Now, knowing this bit of information has got to be worth a fiver hasn't it?
