When we spoke to Avon 3 years ago asking for info on our 8.4 they said they never put such a big diesel in one of their RIBs and coupled it to a jet drive.. turns out they thought shuch a good idea they are making them again..

That des not really make them liars as you keenly put it, it means that probably it now feasable in production or that the specs of some of the kit required is now within their tollerances etc etc bla bla
