avon sr4 transom plate.
Hi all,
I am about to mount a Mercury to my SR4. Do I need to support it using a wooden or ali/ ss plate on the inside and out ? Or will the transom be ok being as I'm planning on mounting using some nice big penny washers and to seal the bolts with marine silicon. (or should i use something else to seal them?)
