Here you go, had it made up to my drawing & it replaced the transon suports.
Recon you could pick the boat up by it if you wanted, very solid

Nick, that's just brilliant, your a star and the drawing too, excellent. I like the way the transom supports are replaced, well thought out. I guess the main tubes are left open at the bottom to feed wiring up to lights etc? that given me loads to think about, what wiring I need to allow for and if I want a fixed radio / aerial or just a hand held, hmmmmmm.... thanks Nick, I'm made up

No problem, I just fitted lights to mine and have a hand held VHF off I,m out but it mainly now just gets used around Salcombe. Not that I get much of a look in with my eldest daughter claiming it as hers

yeh, I think a hand held may be the best bet, probably won't be much room on the console for a fixed set didn't think about the family claiming ownership, have to think about that one

managed to get a bit more done when I got home from work, just before the rain started still, no rush, tubes are off now and managed to turn hull over to have a good look at it, and to be honest I was very pleasently surprised

Advice please

i've just made a start on cleaning the hull of all the black marks left by barnacles etc, never thought it would be easy, but on the other hand I wasn't expecting it to be so hard either, took me about an hour to do a patch the size of my hand. I was doing it by hand, with coarse wet n dry. What's the best method to get a good clean finish, any help would be much appreciated
