Avon Seasport vs Humber Attaque
Have a mind to get one of these - any comments? I'm guessing they're bothe shallow vee- which is better in a moderate sea state?

Dunno much about the Attaque, but the Seasport is a bit cack. 
Nose light, slamming hull yacht tendery type thing.

Awful build quality too, the SR4 build is streets ahead. Sr4 is far superior anyway as it's a deep v.

Surely the Humber Assault is the unloved hull, not the Attaque. I seem to remember favourable reports? Was it the forerunner to the Destroyer or the Ocean Pro?

Yep.
I actually tried to buy one (it was CHEAP and the motor ran) a couple of years ago til I saw the transom delaminating. It was about 2/3 the thickness of an SR4 transom and barely had any glass over the ply.

Avon vs Humber Attaque
Hmmmm thanks for all that.....
Now looking as an Avon SR as well - need a boat that's tough and copes with reasonable seas...

I too have an Attaque. Not done much with it yet as I only bought it in Nov, but it rides and handles well on the flat. Carves a nice turn. It's narrow (or feels it) next to some RIBS of equivalent length. I've not been out in anything rough but it's two previous owners (both posters on here) had nothing but good things to say about it.

In which case, drop the "aswell" and buy an SR.
